References Found in Garnet and Jillian
William (Bartender at The Black Crow)
(found in Chapter 1: Greenleaf, Section 1)
William was a character from the game Samara and Paris. He was Paris’s older and wiser friend in Cyndicut Bay, the city of Samara’s kingdom.
Luminescense (Bar in Greenleaf and Jillian’s Home)
(found in Chapter 1: Greenleaf, Section 2)
As part of Samara and Paris, there was a planned event for the two girls to attend a magic school, however we never got that far in the story. At the school, there was a school game (much like Quiddich from Harry Potter) that we called Luminescense.
Ambrose Covenant (A business parter of Azrael)
(found in Chapter 1: Greenleaf, Section 3)
A ruthless pirate from Samara and Paris. He was Paris’s (sort of) love interest, and played a pivotal role in getting the two girls into trouble.
The quote "My public awaits" (Medda)
(found in Chapter 1: Greenleaf, Section 4)
In the moving Oliver and Company, the character Georgette uses this line when she is ready for her appearance outside of her room. I used Georgette several times as a character or as a basis of a character, often quoting that line.
Geoffrey and Thomas (Visitors to Luminescense)
(found in Chapter 1: Greenleaf, Section 4)
Geoffrey and Thomas were, again, two characters from Samara and Paris. Thomas was Samara’s stable boy, and Geoffrey was Thomas’s friend in Spain.
The quote "can you refuse a night away from all your work?" (Thomas)
(found in Chapter 1: Greenleaf, Section 4)
In Samara and Paris, Samara was often saying she wished a night away from her duties (as a princess). Thomas, her stable boy, would allow her to do this.
Lilica and Jonathan (Garnet’s and Aiden’s aliases)
(found in Chapter 1: Greenleaf, Section 6)
Lilica and Jonathan are characters from Miya and Lilica. Much like Garnet and the fake relationship she had at that time with Aiden, Lilica was Melly’s main character and Jonathan was Lilica’s love interest.
The quote "Party, party, party.. BOOM!"
(found in Chapter 2: The Scissormen, Section 3)
From one of our earliest games, Black Panther and Maine Coon, we used this as our classic way of starting the game (our first lines). It kind of stuck with us. :)
Callie’s Heritage
(found in Chapter 6: Diocles, Section 5)
At some point, Melly and I decided that Callie should be related to Samara, from Samara and Paris. Since we couldn’t have a direct relation, we decided that Callie’s grandmother is Samara’s grandmother’s sister-in-law.
