Chapter 5: The Talmascan II
Garnet: *leaning her back against the railing of the ship, arms crossed, watching a young cat-like girl prance around the ship* *turns head to face Fiona, who is leaning next to her* *whispers* Who is that girl again? I don't understand why she's on our ship.
Fiona: *whispers back* I am not sure, but there is something about her I do not like...
Garnet: I'm going to ask Baku. *walks up the nearby stairs to Baku*
Jillian: *laughing* Kuro, I think the idea of catch is to let people throw the ball to each other, not keep it all for yourself!
Kuro: *jumps into the air, capturing the ball in mid-flight once again* Mrow! I can't help it.. *tosses the ball to Callie, then rubs her ears with her hand curled around like a paw*
Callie: *catches the ball* I would say we could play Kuro-in-the-middle, but I think she would win! *giggles and tosses the ball back to her*
Baku: *watches as Garnet approaches* No.
Garnet: I didn't ask you anything yet! *puts hands on hips*
Baku: Well, the answer's no anyway. *looks away from her*
Garnet: I just wanted to know why you let that girl onto our ship.
Baku: You mean MY ship, Garnet. It's personal business. She's the niece of one of my closest friends, my first mate. She needed a ride, so be nice to her will you? We're stuck with her until we get to Diocles.
Garnet: Whatever. *watches the three play* *thinks to self - Sometimes I think the Talmascan pirates are gonna lose their credibility because of things like this.* *walks back down to Fiona* She's just some friend of his or whatever. *shrugs*
Fiona: I see. I will keep an eye on her. *walks away from Garnet, taking a moment to glance at Kuro, then disappears inside*
Aiden: *suddenly pops up in front of Garnet, startling her* HEY GARNET! Let's go play ball with them!
Garnet: Eh! *pushes him away a little* You go ahead, I don't really feel like playing now.
Aiden: Well, o-kay then. *turns away, walking over to the three playing*
Callie: So, Kuro, why are you headed to Diocles?
Kuro: My mentor asked me to go there for a super-sneaky mission! And I heard there's some great places to buy new clothes and jewelry too! It's purrrr-fect for me, I can't wait until we get there! *tosses the ball to Jillian*
Jillian: It sounds like just the place you would like too, Callie. *smiles and tosses the ball to Aiden as he approaches*
Callie: It does! *giggles and bounces a little*
Aiden: *goes to catch the ball, but gets interrupted by Roxas who catches the ball in his mouth instead*
Roxas: *runs around a little bit with the ball in his mouth*
Aiden: Hey, get back here!
Roxas: *spies Kuro, drops the ball and immediately starts growling and barking up a storm*
Callie: *picks up the ball gingerly* *makes a "ew" face and tosses it towards Jillian*
Jillian: *dodges it, laughing* I don't want it!
Garnet: *yells from across the ship* Roxas! Calm down, boy!
Roxas: *suddenly shuts up and runs away*
Garnet: *smiles* *to self* Finally he listens to me... *notices Azrael, who just came outside from the inside quarters* Oh...
Kuro: *spies Azrael stepping outside* *quickly looks up the mast to the lookout* *gasps a little* Sun!! *scampers up the mast, ignoring the ropes typically used to climb*
Callie: *watches her as she disappears behind the wooden railing* She seems so nice and friendly! I bet she's travelled everywhere and knows the best places to go.
Kuro: *peers down at Azrael, peeking over the top of the railing* Whew. *sits back down and leans against the mast*
Azrael: *walks past everyone, not bothering to acknowledge anyone in particular*
Garnet: *watches as he passes her, quickly grabs one of her bracelets and rolls it on the ground, watches as it hits Azrael's foot*
Azrael: *looks down at the bracelet, picks it up*
Garnet: *floats over* Ohh, silly me! Thank you! *takes from him and puts it back on* ... *stands in silence with him for a few seconds* *akward* Eh, well I must be going! *turns to leave, thinks to self - I can't start a conversation with shit! Ehehehehhh...*
Azrael: *casually leans his back against the side of the ship, resting his arms on the rails* *looks at Garnet and smirks* So where did you get it?
Garnet: *stops and turns to look at him* The bracelet?
Azrael: *smirks* No, the tattoo. I saw it on you the day we met. Where did you get it?
Garnet: *holds her now covered left shoulder* Oh uhh... *thinks to self - Great, he's going to think I'm so weird...* You wouldn't believe me if I told you. *catches his gaze, but shyly looks away*
Azrael: Try me.
Garnet: *tries to sound flirty* Well, maybe if you play your cards right, I'll tell you one day. *smiles*
Azrael: Heh. *looks down, then looks back up at her* *pushes off the railing and gets right in front of Garnet* Perhaps. *turns and walks away*
Garnet: *turns a little pink, then shakes it off*
Aiden: *watches Garnet's reactions to Azrael and crosses arms in jealously* *leans back against the side of the ship and stands there, looks over towards Jillian and Callie*
Jillian: *walks over to the side of the ship and leans against the rail* *stares out at the water*
Callie: Are you okay, Jilly?
Jillian: Yeah. I just have this weird feeling that I should be doing something.. or that something bad is going to happen. I can't shake it, it's bothering me. *frowns a little*
Callie: I wouldn't worry about it.. I mean, unless one of the seven sea dragons rises from the waters to eat us, I really doubt anything is going to happen out here.
Jillian: *sighs* I know.. I just feel that sometimes I'm not doing everything I should.. like I'm supposed to be part of some big plan or legend, and I'm missing out on it completely.
Callie: *smiles a little and doesn't respond*
Jillian: *shakes head slightly to break herself out of her mood* So, how much longer do you think it'll be until we dock?
Callie: *shrugs* I don't know *looks over at Aiden* Hey Aiden! *waves for him to come over*
Aiden: *walks over to the two* Hey.
Baku: *walks down the stairs and towards Garnet* Having a partner means you actually have to interact with each other for more than three seconds.
Garnet: *a little distracted, looks at him* Huh, what? Oh. Well, I'm trying, I really am. He's rather cold.
Baku: *pats Garnet on the shoulder* Try harder, will you? *walks away*
Garnet: *sighs and crosses arms* I hate this.
Kuro: *peeks over the railing again, looking around for Azrael*
Baku: *walks past Jillian, Callie and Aiden* I just spotted land, we'll be docking within the hour. *disappears inside*
Callie: *smiles* Well, I guess that answers that question.
Jillian: *looks at Aiden* What are you plans once we dock?
Aiden: *slyly puts arm around Callie* Why, I'm taking this pretty lady out to dinner, of course! *peers over shoulder to see if Garnet is watching*
Kuro: *jumps down from the lookout, landing on all fours* *stands up quickly and grabs Callie's arm* You can't do that, she's coming out with me! I want to go shopping!
Jillian: *looks confused at Kuro* Well, we could all go shopping and then go out to din--
Kuro: No way! I need to get a present for my mentor! She's super-important, so I can't have a bunch of people around. She has spies. *peers around*
Callie: Eh.. *shrugs* I guess that's fine *look at Jillian*
Jillian: ... *frowns a little* Alright, yeah, that's fine. *looks at Aiden* Maybe we can go out with Garnet or some of the others for dinner.
Aiden: *looks at Jillian, has a slightly confused look on his face* Well, okay, whatever... *shrugs and walks inside*
