Before I even saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I knew I wanted to make a Beauxbaton uniform with Melly. We originally wanted to finish the costumes for Ohayocon 2006, but after three days of rushing around and not getting anywhere near finishing, we gave up and put them off until another time. We worked on them together for the entire time; Melly would pin the fabric pieces together, I would run them through the machine while she pinned more, and then we would switch pieces and continue. It was a lot of fun, even if it was sweatshop-style! The hats and our wands also came out really well, and were a lot of fun to make! Unfortunately, we made them before we really knew anything about finishing edges, so we've decided to never wear them again. But, they were fun while we had them!
